DIScover System: During a normal night, a person releases up to 500 g of sweat in the form of water vapour. If this moisture remains in the sleeping bag's insulation layer, the insulating performance is significantly reduced. At very low temperatures, the dew point (the temperature at which water vapour turns to liquid) is usually on the inside of the outer shell. In extreme cold, condensation can even freeze to ice, meaning that the filling cannot dry for long periods of time and the sleeping bag gradually becomes heavier and wetter. This leads to a significant decrease in the thermal performance of the down sleeping bag.

This system uses a second, inverted outer shell made of water-repellent and breathable Shellproof Ultra material. With a matching zip opening, this layer can simply be flipped outwards and left to dry. Ice crystals or water droplets that have formed between the layers can be easily shaken off.

For faster drying of any remaining condensation, the inner cover of the sleeping bag is made of a downproof but extremely breathable Shelltex Ultra material.

An additional air layer between the outer shells increases the heat storage capacity and provides an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio.
